Key takeaway: $25 to $36 per employee per month is the range third-party pricing guides estimate for a Paycom subscription (OutSail, SoftwareFinder, both read 14 October 2026). Paycom itself publishes no dollar price: its pricing page offers "a customized quote" and says each quote depends on "the functionality a company needs and the number of employees". The one Paycom-authored figure is in its annual report: implementation fees "generally range from 10% to 30% of the annualized value of the transaction" (Paycom Form 10-K for 2025, filed 19 February 2026). For recruiting buyers the key detail is packaging: on the live pricing page, applicant tracking is not in Paycom's Core package. It appears only in the Complete tier of Talent Acquisition.
Paycom is a single-database payroll and HR suite sold through its own sales force. Its 10-K reports approximately 39,200 clients (about 20,300 when grouped by parent company) and an annual revenue retention rate of 91% for 2025. OutSail, an HR software broker, describes it as a mid-market HRIS that "works best for companies with between 50 and 750 employees".
Recruiting is not a separate Paycom product with its own price. It is one area of the suite, priced inside the same per-employee quote as payroll, time and HR. This page records what Paycom's own pages and filings say about cost on the check date, keeps the third-party estimates separate, and shows which recruiting tools sit in which package. The same format covers ADP recruiting pricing, Dayforce pricing and UKG Pro pricing, the suites most often shortlisted against Paycom.
Does Paycom publish its pricing?
No. On 14 October 2026 we read Paycom's pricing page and two product pages in a rendered browser and found no dollar figure on any of them.
| Paycom source (read 14 Oct 2026) | What it says about price |
|---|---|
| paycom.com/pricing | "One price for your entire workforce"; "We'll provide a customized quote"; no dollar figure |
| Pricing page FAQ, same URL | "Pricing varies based on workforce size and selected tools and services" |
| Pricing page FAQ, same URL | "each quote is customized to the functionality a company needs and the number of employees. A one-time implementation fee is included" |
| Talent Acquisition page | Recruiting and hiring tools described; no price |
| Form 10-K, fiscal 2025 | Fees are "fixed amounts charged per billing period plus a fee per employee or transaction processed" |
The 10-K adds that a client's billing period "is typically based on when each client pays its employees, which may be weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly". That is why brokers describe Paycom as priced per paycheck: OutSail writes that it "charges companies on a per paycheck basis" and converts that to a per-employee-per-month (PEPM) figure.
Under the rule this page applies, a price counts as published only if it appears on the vendor's own pricing page on the check date. Paycom's does not show one, so every dollar figure below is a third-party estimate.
How much does Paycom cost per employee per month?
Every per-employee figure in circulation comes from a third party. We read three on 14 October 2026.
| Source (read 14 Oct 2026) | Paycom estimate | What it covers | Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| OutSail (published 24 Jul 2026) | $25 to $36 PEPM | Subscription, by company size and modules | Broker estimate |
| SoftwareFinder (updated 25 Jun 2025) | $25 to $36 PEPM; $2,500 to $3,600 a month for 100 employees | Subscription, by company size and modules | Third-party estimate |
| RemotePeople (published 23 May 2026) | $25 to $35 PEPM full HCM; $12 to $18 PEPM payroll only | Full suite vs payroll alone | Third-party estimate |
The three sources agree closely on the full-suite range, but none states a sample or method, and Paycom confirms none of them. Vendr, which publishes buyer-reported contract medians for many HR vendors, showed no contract value for Paycom on the check date. G2 and Capterra pricing pages could not be read (403 and 404 responses), so no figures were taken from them.
Is applicant tracking included in Paycom Core?
No. Paycom's pricing page says "Our 'Core' is the minimum used by all Paycom clients", then shows a Core vs. Complete table for each product area. In the Talent Acquisition table, read on 14 October 2026, the recruiting tools all sit in Complete:
| Talent Acquisition tool | Core | Complete |
|---|---|---|
| New-hire reporting | Included | Included |
| Self-onboarding | Included | Included |
| Applicant tracking | Not included | Included |
| Background checks | Not included | Included |
| Drug testing | Not included | Included |
| E-Verify | Not included | Included |
| Tax credits | Not included | Included |
So a Paycom quote that includes recruiting is a Complete-tier Talent Acquisition quote. Some third-party pages describe the packages differently: a Workstream pricing article (published 1 August 2026) says Core "includes products beyond basic payroll such as background checks, drug testing", which does not match the table Paycom showed on our check date. Ask for the tier of every tool in writing.
What the applicant tracking tool does, per Paycom's software page: it "automatically posts open positions to your company website, top careers sites and online job boards", lets teams "Screen candidates quickly with consistent criteria", and generates "offer letters, background checks and Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) with a single click".
The same split runs across the suite. In Payroll, Core covers automated payroll, general ledger, payroll tax filing and the payroll card, while daily pay, expense management, check reconciliation and garnishment administration are Complete only. In HR Management, 7 tools are in Core and 11 (including benefits administration, learning management and text messaging) are Complete only. Paycom's page also says its AI is "built in to core software and provided at no additional cost".
How much is Paycom's implementation fee?
Paycom's 10-K is the only Paycom-authored number: "Non-refundable implementation fees are charged to new clients at contract inception. These fees generally range from 10% to 30% of the annualized value of the transaction." Paycom recognizes them over an estimated 10-year client life.
| Source | Implementation fee | Label |
|---|---|---|
| Paycom Form 10-K, fiscal 2025 | 10% to 30% of annualized value | Vendor filing |
| OutSail | About 15% to 30% of annual software fees | Broker estimate |
| SoftwareFinder | About 15% to 30% of annual software costs | Third-party estimate |
| RemotePeople | Generally 30% to 35% of the annual subscription | Third-party estimate |
The pricing page FAQ says the implementation fee "is included" in each quote and that "ongoing support from a dedicated specialist is provided to clients at no cost". The 10-K describes the same model: "a specialist within a dedicated team is assigned to each client".
What drives a Paycom quote up or down?
From Paycom's own pages and filing, plus the third-party guides above, four inputs move the number:
- Headcount. The 10-K says Paycom charges "on a per employee basis for certain services", and its pricing FAQ names "the number of employees" as a quote input.
- Tier and modules. Each of the five product areas has a Core and a Complete column. Recruiting tools are Complete only.
- Pay frequency. Billing follows each client's pay schedule (weekly to monthly), per the 10-K, so a weekly payroll means more billing periods than a monthly one.
- Implementation scope. A one-time fee of 10% to 30% of annualized value, per Paycom's filing.
To turn those into a recruiting budget, pair the software line with the rest of the hiring cost; our cost per hire benchmarks break down where the remaining spend goes.
How does Paycom recruiting compare to a dedicated sourcing tool?
Paycom's applicant tracking manages people who apply: job posting distribution, screening, offers and onboarding, all on the payroll record. It is priced per employee across the whole company, so a company pays for recruiting software in proportion to its total headcount, not to the size of its recruiting team. For teams that want an ATS chosen on its own merits, our ranking of the best applicant tracking systems compares standalone options, and the top HRIS platforms guide sets Paycom against other suites.
Noon works in front of that layer. It is not a payroll or HR system and does not replace Paycom. It finds, evaluates and contacts candidates who have not applied, then hands them to the ATS of record. Two differences matter to a Paycom buyer:
- Pricing model. Noon's pricing is a single plan with unlimited sourcing, unlimited contacts, unlimited agents and unlimited seats. It has no per-employee multiplier and no per-seat fee. Noon does not publish a dollar price either, so the honest comparison is structural, not a price.
- Where candidates come from. Paycom's tools post jobs and process applicants. Noon's AI recruiting platform searches the whole web for people who match a role and runs personalized email and SMS outreach to reach them, then syncs results through its ATS integrations.
For the wider market, the recruiting software pricing index counts which vendors publish a price at all.
Sources and methodology
Every figure on this page was collected on 14 October 2026. Web pages were read in a rendered browser; Paycom's Core vs. Complete check marks were read from the page HTML; the 10-K was fetched from SEC EDGAR. Each quote is recorded with its URL and fetch timestamp in seo/research/stats/paycom-pricing-2026/sources.json in the noon.ai repository.
- Vendor pages (primary): paycom.com/pricing including its FAQ and Core vs. Complete tables; Paycom software page (applicant tracking section); Paycom Talent Acquisition page.
- Vendor filing: Paycom Software, Inc. Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2025, filed 19 February 2026.
- Third-party estimates: OutSail, SoftwareFinder, RemotePeople, Workstream, Vendr.
- Demand check: DataForSEO Google Ads volume, US, 14 October 2026: "paycom pricing" 210 searches a month, "paycom price" 210, "paycom cost" 70, "paycom ats" 70, "how much does paycom cost" 50, "paycom applicant tracking" 40.
- Rule applied: a price is "published" only when it appears on the vendor's own pricing page on the check date. Paycom's page shows none, so every dollar figure is labelled a third-party estimate.
Limitations. Paycom confirms none of the third-party figures, and none of those sources states a sample size or method. The PEPM estimates do not isolate the cost of recruiting tools, and no source we could read prices the Talent Acquisition Complete tier on its own. Paycom's 10-K range for implementation fees covers all new clients, not recruiting deployments specifically. The Core vs. Complete tables reflect paycom.com on 14 October 2026 and may change. Noon is a vendor of recruiting software and, like Paycom, does not publish a dollar price; the Noon section describes structure, not cost.
FAQ
How much does Paycom cost in 2026?
Paycom does not publish a price. Its pricing page says pricing "varies based on workforce size and selected tools and services" and offers a customized quote. Third-party guides estimate $25 to $36 per employee per month for the subscription (OutSail, SoftwareFinder) and $12 to $18 for payroll alone (RemotePeople), all read 14 October 2026 and none confirmed by Paycom.
Is Paycom priced per employee?
Largely, yes. Paycom's 10-K says its revenue comes from "fixed amounts charged per billing period plus a fee per employee or transaction processed", with billing periods that follow each client's pay schedule. The pricing page FAQ names "the number of employees" as a quote input.
Does Paycom charge extra for applicant tracking?
Applicant tracking is not in Paycom's Core package. On the pricing page read 14 October 2026 it appears only in the Complete tier of Talent Acquisition, together with background checks, drug testing, E-Verify and tax credits. Paycom does not publish what Complete adds to a quote.
What is Paycom's implementation fee?
Paycom's 2025 Form 10-K says implementation fees "generally range from 10% to 30% of the annualized value of the transaction" and are non-refundable. Third-party guides estimate 15% to 30% of annual software fees (OutSail, SoftwareFinder) or 30% to 35% of the annual subscription (RemotePeople).
Is Paycom pricing transparent?
Paycom's own FAQ answers that it "provides customized pricing, so organizations pay only for what they need". It publishes the package structure (Core and Complete for each product area) but no dollar amounts, so the only way to get a number is a quote.
Does Noon replace Paycom?
No. Paycom is a payroll and HR suite with applicant tracking in its Complete tier; Noon is an autonomous sourcing and outreach layer that finds and contacts candidates by email and SMS, then syncs them to your ATS. See Noon's pricing page for how its single unlimited plan is structured.
