Key takeaway: CoderPad's Starter plan costs $80 a month billed annually ($960 a year) for 60 interviews a year, on its pricing page as read on 15 October 2026. Team costs $400 a month billed annually ($4,800 a year) for 360 interviews, and the new Frontier Lite tier costs $1,000 a month, annual billing only ($12,000 a year), for the same 360 interviews. Enterprise is quote-based, and every extra test or interview is $30. Users are unlimited on every plan.
CoderPad sells live coding interviews, take-home projects and auto-scored screening tests for technical hiring. Its pricing page leads with "One tool for all hiring" and meters usage in one unit: the test or interview, with the same allowance whether you run a live pad or send a screen.
CoderPad publishes dollar prices for three of its four plans. Monthly billing costs more: Starter is $120 a month for 5 interviews a month and Team is $500 a month for 30 a month. The page's toggle says annual billing saves 20%, which matches Team exactly ($4,800 against $6,000 a year); on Starter the saving is larger, 33.3% ($960 against $1,440).
Every figure below was read from CoderPad's rendered pricing page on 15 October 2026. Annual totals, per-interview costs and savings are our arithmetic on those published prices. How much does CoderPad cost in 2026?
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | Interviews included | Users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $80/month ($960/year) | $120/month ($1,440/year) | 60 a year, or 5 a month on monthly | Unlimited |
| Team | $400/month ($4,800/year) | $500/month ($6,000/year) | 360 a year, or 30 a month on monthly | Unlimited |
| Frontier Lite | $1,000/month ($12,000/year) | Not offered ("Annual billing only") | 360 a year | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Custom ("Talk to sales") | Custom | Not published | Unlimited |
Every self-serve plan lists "$30 per additional test or interview". Annual plans are paid upfront: the FAQ says "Annual plans are billed once, upfront, for the full 12 months" and that the card price is the monthly equivalent, so "Team at $400/month annually is a single charge of $4,800."
Team costs 5 times as much as Starter on annual billing ($4,800 against $960) for 6 times the interviews (360 against 60). It adds a 1,400+ question library (Starter has 400+), 20 custom questions instead of 10, and take-homes and auto-scored screens.
What is CoderPad Frontier Lite?
CoderPad positions Frontier Lite as its Team plan plus agentic interviews and frontier models. It keeps Team's 360 interviews a year and adds, per the plan card and comparison table:
- Claude Code and Codex running inside the pad, which Team and Starter do not get
- Frontier models ("Opus-class, GPT flagship, Gemini Pro"); Team and Starter run "Up to Sonnet-class"
- 5M tokens per interview against 1M on Team and Starter
- AI summaries and AI interview transcripts (Note Taker)
- 100 custom questions against Team's 20
The price of those additions is $7,200 a year: Frontier Lite is $12,000 a year against Team's $4,800, 2.5 times as much for the same interview allowance. The comparison table also mentions Frontier Pro and Frontier Max packages (up to 20M or 40M tokens per interview, and 4 agents at once), but the page publishes no price for either.
How much does CoderPad cost per interview?
| Plan and billing | Price per year | Interviews per year | Cost per interview |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, annual | $960 | 60 | $16.00 |
| Starter, monthly | $1,440 | 60 | $24.00 |
| Team, annual | $4,800 | 360 | $13.33 |
| Team, monthly | $6,000 | 360 | $16.67 |
| Frontier Lite, annual | $12,000 | 360 | $33.33 |
Unlike Codility, CoderPad's larger self-serve plan is cheaper per unit: $13.33 per interview on annual Team against $16.00 on annual Starter. The $30 overage costs 2.25 times Team's included rate, so a team that regularly runs past its allowance should size up rather than pay per interview.
What happens when you run out of CoderPad interviews?
The two billing modes behave differently. On a monthly plan, the FAQ says "you'll pay $30/30€ overage for each test or interview above your plan quota". On an annual plan, "we'll automatically renew you onto another of the same plan, and reset your annual billing date", with a notice beforehand.
That second rule matters for budgeting. A Starter team that uses its 60th interview in month 8 does not pay $30 for the 61st; it starts a new $960 annual term early. The FAQ also says annual quotas have "no monthly limits", so a team can "Use 100 tests in January and none until September" on a plan large enough to hold them.
How does CoderPad count an interview?
The counting rule depends on the plan type, per the FAQ:
- Monthly credit card plans and Enterprise Flex: a live pad counts "when two people join the pad and write code"; a take-home pad counts "when the candidate joins the pad and spends a couple minutes coding".
- Annual credit card plans and non-Enterprise invoiced plans: pads count "when created". "Unstarted pads or tests that are deleted within 28 days from creation are re-credited to your quota."
- Tests, on every plan: "A test is counted when a candidate starts the test."
On annual plans, then, a pad created for a candidate who never shows up uses an interview unless someone deletes it within 28 days. Teams scheduling many interviews in advance should clean up unused pads each month.
How does CoderPad pricing compare with HackerRank and Codility?
HackerRank's and Codility's pricing pages, re-read on the same day, publish entry and mid-tier plans with annual billing. Our HackerRank pricing breakdown and Codility pricing breakdown cover those plans in full.
| Plan, annual billing | Price per year | Usage allowance | Cost per unit | Extra usage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoderPad Starter | $960 | 60 interviews | $16.00 | $30 each |
| HackerRank Starter | $948 | 60 attempts | $15.80 | $20 each |
| Codility Starter | $1,200 | 120 invites | $10.00 | Not listed |
| CoderPad Team | $4,800 | 360 interviews | $13.33 | $30 each |
| HackerRank Pro | $5,028 | 360 attempts | $13.97 | $20 each |
| Codility Scale | $6,000 | 300 invites | $20.00 | Not listed |
The units are not identical. HackerRank counts an attempt when a candidate "completes an attempt", Codility meters invites sent, and CoderPad's annual plans count a pad when it is created. CoderPad's distinguishing terms are unlimited users on every plan (HackerRank also lists unlimited users on Starter and Pro; Codility Starter has 1 platform user) and a 33.3% discount for paying Starter annually.
What does CoderPad Enterprise add?
Enterprise has no published price. The comparison table reserves these features for it:
- ATS integrations ("Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday"), SSO and SAML, and API access
- Webcam proctoring with AI behavior analysis, real-time cheating alerts, and AI follow-up questions on the candidate's own code
- A 4,000+ question library, unlimited custom questions, custom scoring rubrics, autograding and advanced analytics
- An enterprise security review, DPA, SLA and priority support, plus a dedicated CSM and interviewer training
The FAQ adds that invoiced or PO payments "are only available for Enterprise plans". Because ATS integrations sit only in Enterprise, teams that want CoderPad results flowing into Greenhouse or Lever should expect a quote. For live interviews where AI assistance is a concern, our guide on how to tell if someone is using an AI cheating tool covers what to watch for.
Does CoderPad have a free trial?
Yes. Starter, Team and Frontier Lite each show a "Start free trial" button, and the FAQ says "We don't ask for a credit card to start a free trial", with upgrades made from inside the product. The page does not state the trial length or its interview allowance. Cancellation is self-serve: you keep access "until the end of the billing month (for monthly plans) or billing year (for yearly plans)".
Why do third-party sites list different CoderPad prices?
Several of the top Google results for "coderpad pricing" on the check date quoted figures that do not match CoderPad's own page. One review site's snippet said CoderPad's plans range "from $50 to $750", another listed Team at "$300 per month", a third said extra tests cost "$25", and an alternatives post listed Starter at "$70/month" and Team at "$375/month". CoderPad's rendered page shows Starter at $80 a month annually, Team at $400 and a $30 overage. Treat the vendor page as the only published price and check it on the day you buy.
Is there an alternative to paying per interview for screening?
Interview-metered pricing ties the cost of screening to the number of candidates you see, and on CoderPad's annual plans going over the allowance starts a new contract term. In Noon evaluation calls, one of the most common pricing criteria buyers raise is a preference for unlimited usage over credit-based models, followed by questions about per-user costs.
Noon's AI Interviewer runs first-round screens as a live voice conversation: candidates get an email link, start when they are ready and answer the questions your team defines, and Noon returns a full transcript, a structured analysis and a next-round recommendation. It complements a coding pad rather than replacing one; our technical recruiting guide covers where a coding exercise and a screening conversation each fit in an engineering loop, and the Noon product overview lists the rest of the workflow, from sourcing to scheduling.
Noon's pricing has no interview meter and no seat count: one plan with unlimited sourcing, contacts, agents and seats, priced by quote. A hiring surge does not use up an allowance. See the Noon pricing page for how the single plan works, and our roundup of interview quality tools for where CoderPad fits among interview platforms.
Sources and methodology
All plan prices, allowances, feature rows and FAQ answers were read from CoderPad's rendered pricing page on 15 October 2026 (UTC) through a browser session. The plan cards were recorded in the default view with the billing toggle on Annual, then the toggle was switched to Monthly and the cards recorded again; the "Compare plans" table was recorded from the same render, and nine FAQ answers were opened and recorded. HackerRank figures were re-read from HackerRank's rendered pricing page and Codility figures from Codility's rendered pricing page on the same day.
Annual totals, per-interview, savings and multiple figures are arithmetic on the published prices. Third-party figures are quoted from Google result snippets returned by DataForSEO for "coderpad pricing" on the check date, only to show that they disagree with the vendor page. Every quote, URL and fetch timestamp is recorded in the source ledger committed with this article at seo/research/stats/coderpad-pricing-2026/sources.json.
Search demand was checked with DataForSEO on the same date: about 90 US searches a month each for "coderpad pricing" and "coderpad price", and about 10 for "coderpad cost".
Limitations
- Enterprise, Frontier Pro and Frontier Max prices are not published, and none are estimated here.
- The free trial's length and allowance are not published.
- The page shows prices in US dollars; the overage FAQ also names a euro amount (30€), but no other euro prices were recorded.
- Interviews, attempts and invites are counted at different moments, so the HackerRank and Codility comparison is a like-for-like price reading, not a like-for-like cost per completed assessment.
- No buyer-reported prices are used. Prices are a point-in-time reading; check the vendor page before buying.
