Leslie Quade
Nutanix
“Whether you're incorporating AI or not, skills are the key to advancing your organization.”
Leslie Quade has been named to the Talent 100, Class of 2026, the annual award recognizing up to 100 leaders in each category of talent acquisition. Honorees are nominated by peers or found by committees that look for excellent work wherever it happens, then chosen for the depth of their craft and their impact on hiring. This is Leslie's story.
Across more than 25 years in the field, Leslie Quade has shaped how organizations evaluate, develop, and retain their talent, and her career has centered not simply on finding the right people but on building the frameworks and ecosystems that help them thrive.
As Global Head of Performance and People Development at Nutanix, she has been instrumental in creating a skills-based talent management ecosystem designed to align with the company's technology-driven goals. "Bringing in a skills ecosystem that's integrated into our talent management framework has been my primary project," she explains. The scope is deliberately wide. From workforce planning through talent development programs, every piece of the puzzle is tied back to the organization's future growth.
Driving Impact Through Skills and AI
A central theme in Quade's work is the integration of AI and technology to anticipate and address skill gaps before they become business problems. She is emphatic about using AI responsibly, deploying it to better identify critical skills, develop employees, and prepare for the workforce the company will need next.
"AI helps us move faster and more efficiently," she says, "but the real focus is on identifying the skills that will help us meet business objectives now and in the future, and then creating programs to support that talent." It is an approach that balances innovation with intentionality, ensuring that the technology always serves the people at the heart of the organization rather than the other way around.
Advice for Talent Leaders
Quade's counsel to her peers is simple, and all the more powerful for it: focus on skills. Understanding which roles are critical, which skills those roles demand, and how to retain and develop top talent is, in her view, the foundation everything else rests on. "Whether you're incorporating AI or not, skills are the key to advancing your organization," she says. "If you're not doing this today, you're going to get behind."
By keeping skills at the center of her work, Quade helps ensure that organizations are not merely filling roles as they open, but building sustainable pipelines capable of carrying them into the future.
The Talent 100 exists to celebrate the people shaping the future of how the world hires, and few embody that better than Leslie. We are honored to welcome Leslie Quade to the Talent 100, Class of 2026, and grateful for the experience, perspective, and craft they bring to this community. Congratulations, Leslie. Welcome to the Talent 100.
