- Regular contributor to two upstream open-source projects, Promitor(https://promitor.io) and OpenTelemetry Collector(https://opentelemetry.io/docs/collector); my contributions are currently used within Axon and across the wider industry.
- Owned OpenTelemetry-based client-side instrumentation; this included an instrumentation client and out-of-the-box OTLP metrics for APIs, cache, database, and async workflows.
- Lead various company-wide initiatives, such as standardized OpenTelemetry metrics and workflow-level monitoring, aimed at lowering the overall mean time to detect incidents.
- Performed regular operational work on our Kubernetes-based deployments(networking ingress, load balancing, autoscaling, resource allocation etc.) to increase reliability and enable new features.
- Answered observability-related questions on a daily basis, in an ask channel that's recognized as best across the whole company
