Principal Associate - Site Reliability Engineer at Capital One Currently heading security efforts for www.capitalone.com. Helping out with site maintenance and the CICD pipeline. Previously at Capital One: Part of a team of engineers that rewrote capitalone.com's CICD to work with a monorepo Was senior engineer on team managing capitalone.com's CDN resources Moved capitalone.com's CICD platform to a process using Docker containers on Jenkins. Went from an average outage on our builds from 1/week to no outages in the past 6 months. Added ELK, Datadog, and Capital One’s version of Hashicorp vault to a streaming data platform based on Kafka and snowplow using CloudFormation templates

Integrated an open source tool, grafana, with a time series database, InfluxDB to track cpu and memory for all of our servers Wrote Flask application that shows the uptime of edmodo.com Deployed over 10 different services with Docker. These services included a Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and wordpress blog application Wrote Flask application for a server alert system, Nagios, which is critical to everyday ops work

Integrated digital health services into a ruby on rails platform with specialized models being made for each service Used Oauth gem to effectively connect to digital health services and receive data

Approved critical testing of cement for use on over 200 wells Promoted from Associate Technical Professional because of performance on special assignments. Developed lower cost cements and increased marketability of new products.

Installed, schematized and maintained a SQL database that kept track of inventory, routes and other logistics of the trucking industry; positioned the company for growth.
