Generative Design and Computational Geometry ● Developed a unified approach for constructing non-convex Space-Filling patterns in 3D space. ● Devised an algorithm for constructing these shapes (which we named "Delaunay Lofts") using Vertex-split and Edge Collapse operations interpolating Voronoi cells in different layers. ● Created a new class of Topologically Interlocking shapes called "Generalized Abeille Tiles" based on Voronoi-based algorithm ● Introduced a geometric design and fabrication framework for a family of interlocking space-filling shapes which called bi-axial woven tiles based on weave symmetry. Mesh Quality and Accuracy ● Studied the effect of ambient light scanning conditions by characterizing the accuracy (trueness and precision) of a 3D scanner using signed distance metric ● Also performed a similar study with the Quality of mesh elements in the point cloud. Interactive Design Ideation ● Developed a workflow for Computer-Supported mind-mapping using a rich relational ontology offered by ConceptNet to simulate human-like collaborative behavior towards useful exploration of ideas in early design stages. ● Developed a novel Question-Query workflow for stimulating creativity in mind-mapping.

● Worked on Conceptual and development design of a prosthetic venous valve: Finite Element Analysis of newly developed bileaflet designs of venous valves was carried out in Abaqus/CAE. The optimal design was scrutinized based on various factors - proper S-shaped coaptation of leaflets and minimizing the height of the leaflet to prevent thrombosis. To make physical leaflet models from the pericardium, a mold was modeled in SolidWorks which was 3D printed. The leaflets prepared was used to carry out experimental validation of the results. ● Worked on Ergonomic design and development for housing Clinical tongue imaging system: Redesigned a 3D mold for housing a tongue sensor used for clinical and research purposes which was 3D printed. The net solid volume of the new design was less and the aesthetics were enhanced.
