Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. I build the front-end components of an internal web service that serves as a unified user experience for the Microsoft Azure platform. Our service allows products in Microsoft Azure to achieve their support goals using intelligent recommendations and insights. 
I have built several UI features in our client site. I work closely with our designers and PMs to ensure the best user experience for our clients without compromising efficiency or accessibility.
 
I also work on building front-end React components for our internal framework, where I aim to build versatile experiences that work for multiple products, along with ours. These components are leveraged by our partner platforms.

• Large-scale data validation and specification for the BioDigital Human, a WebGL-based 3D application
• Exported 3D transformation data from Autodesk Maya animations to preserve correct positioning in the BioDigital Human
• Worked extensively with the BioDigital API; created code tutorials with the API to test and improve API usability for customers
• Contributed to the winning team of the annual BioDigital Hackathon

Assisted in two separate projects:
• Acquired and built hardware required for an open-source mouse eye tracking software compatible for a two-photon imaging setup using Python 3
• Researched the mechanisms that underlie the regulation of glutamate receptors, specifically, the mechanisms that regulate synaptic transmission & synaptic plasticity.

Research Assistant

• Helped investigate the mechanisms and biological consequences of cell non-autonomous control over cellular stress-induced transcriptional programs
• Studied the effects of heat-induced damage on C. Elegans missing the AFD thermosensory neuron
