Software Engineer
Baydin (Boomerang)
Aug 2018 - Dec 2018
• 5 mosComing out of my internship with Boomerang in 2017, I was given the opportunity to modernize and revamp the Boomerang for Android email client to match more closely with the newly released Boomerang for iOS. In order to do so, I needed to familiarize myself with the Boomerang for Android infrastructure, including its Django server, to add new features and fix any outstanding bugs. Additionally, I have utilized both user feedback and codebase knowledge to help plan and prioritize steps toward the modernization of the application. Furthermore, I extensively test the essential features of the application after any central infrastructure changes, documenting any issues that come up and investigating them whenever necessary.
On the side, I developed a tool for efficiently searching through customer support tickets that to assist the product team in analyzing customer feedback.

Backend Engineering Intern
Baydin (Boomerang)
May 2017 - Aug 2017
• 4 mosWith Boomerang, my main project was to use Django to build the central and scalable endpoints for Boomerang for Outlook as a REST API to allow for Microsoft Outlook account integration with Boomerang's email clients. That involved profiling Microsoft API calls and minimizing them whenever necessary to optimize Boomerang for Outlook.
Additionally, I designed, developed, and administered the server for the Django backend for a customer support analytics dashboard, while making sure to preserve customers' privacy. On that project I had to collaborate with other internal engineering teams to ensure the dashboard is fully functional for both a mobile and a web.
After these contributions, I was given the opportunity to return to Boomerang in 2018 to join the team full-time.
