5 yrs
Joined Databricks in 5/2020. The first project i worked on is to help the company launch DBSql product which is essentially a data warehouse on top of Spark. I led the team to build the application part of Dbsql, from an acquisition of Redash.io with 3 engineers to a team of 40+ and launched GA by 12/2021. Also worked on multiple iterations after the GA to improve the product experience. During that process, i also branched out dashboarding as a separate product and made visualization uniform across the company. Then I moved to lead the identity and access management team. I led the team to build product features like SSO login, sharing, OAuth, user/group/service principle provision. Meanwhile also took on initiative to improve the system stability and scalability.
