• Led a team of two engineers to design, develop and test the Conference Room Intelligent Platform which helped office admins manage over 400 meeting rooms across 22 ByteDance office sites with ease; collected meeting room intelligent detection data from IoT devices including infrared sensors and cameras; designed and implemented the feature to free up booked but unused meeting rooms using RESTful APIs, RPCs, ByteCloud, CronJob, web socket, MySQL, and MongoDB, which increased meeting room efficiency by 40%. • Retrieved employee geolocation information based on their IP addresses and stored it on HDFS, which was then utilized by internal ByteDance Location Service to send real-time notifications to employees including covid and earthquake updates to help them navigate through difficult times.

• Automated AWS Outposts ordering process starting from customers submitting orders until the orders were fulfilled utilizing AWS Step Functions, Lambda functions, API Gateway and DynamoDB • Generated AWS Outposts order data in JSON format; built and hosted an internal website to visualize the data in HTML table with instant search and multi-column ordering support so that product managers became more responsive to customer requests and were able to provide the best possible customer experience.

• Contributed to China’s first Judicial Expert AI-powered question answering (QA) platform by applying machine learning model to convert the question to a list of keywords and retrieving related law and regulation documents based on those keywords using Elasticsearch. • Migrated 0.5 million QA related law data between different Elasticsearch index while taking zero downtime for both reads and writes of law data across Gridsum Judicial Expert QA platform. • Designed and implemented Gridsum Judicial Expert Knowledge Graph platform searching APIs using Cypher Query, Neo4j graph database and Swagger.io framework.
